Voting for the FLTA Awards 2010 is now closed.
Click here to see the finalists who have been competing over the last 12 months for the prestige of the materials handling industry’s greatest honour. The FLTA is internationally recognised as a leading independent authority on fork lift trucks. Its ‘Pick of the Year’ is a trusted guide to the best new products and innovations, and will be published in early December. The agreed list of nominations – published in a special ShD supplement – acts as the definitive guide to the year’s most important achievements, to: |

- encourage those who work in the industry to strive for even higher standards;
- draw the attention of fork lift truck users to the best products and services;
- show our industry in the best possible light to the wider community.
Products fall into in one of four categories: Ergonomics, Environment, Safety and Innovation.
The agreed nominations in each category with receive an exclusive logo to display in recognition of their status… and, importantly, will go forward into the industry’s most coveted awards, The FLTA Awards For Excellence, with all the prestige and publicity this brings. Following the open, public vote across the four product categories, each finalist is hoping to walk away with a coveted “Archie” statuette – and the status it confers.
Additionally, there are three categories for individuals, comprising: Design Achievement (for which a team may also be entered), Services to the Fork Lift Truck Industry and the Lifetime Achievement Award. Finally, there is the Safe Site Award, for the company which is judged by the Board of the FLTA to have made the greatest safety-related improvements in its use of fork lift trucks during the year. Not all of these are necessarily awarded every year, however.
