Now in its 19th year, the FLTA Annual Awards for Excellence is firmly established as the premier event in the materials handling calendar.

Launched in 1995 to encourage and reward examples of excellence throughout the fork lift truck industry and beyond, the Awards have a truly international appeal with Sponsors and winners flying in from all parts of Europe and the Far East for the Oscars-style ceremony.

Perhaps the most hotly anticipated of the night's Awards are those given to the overall champions of Pick of the Year. Finalists compete across four hotly contested product categories: Environment, Ergonomics, Safety and Innovation.

Winners are presented with the iconic solid-bronze Archie statuette – a symbol of materials handling excellence – in February's glitzy event at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole.

Along with colleagues from every part of the industry, guests are treated to an evening of great music, brilliant entertainment and fine dining.

The Awards is also a great opportunity to meet old friends and colleagues – and make new contacts.
