Now in its 15th glittering year, the Fork Lift Truck Association Awards for Excellence has become internationally recognised as Europe’s most prestigious and important materials handling awards programme.

Each February, industry leaders from all over the globe travel to be present as the “Archies” – modelled on Archimedes, the father of modern engineering – are presented in a spectacular, Oscars-style Awards dinner.

Putting the fun, glamour and high drama to one side, however, the FLTA Awards has a serious point: encouraging materials handling companies to reach ever higher – in pursuit of excellent practice, as well as technical achievement.

Importantly, the key product categories are decided fair and square, through an open, public vote. Anyone in the industry can take part, and as a result, the “Archie” remains the single greatest endorsement that materials handling can bestow. The result is a safer, more professional and more productive industry – and everyone has a part to play; whether as a sponsor, an entrant, attending the dinner, or simply casting a vote.  Please do browse these pages, and decide how you might best get involved.
